Introduction (part 2)

After listening to Dr. Glance's podcast I figured that I should not be having any anxieties for this course. I also wanted to add more information about myself to the previous blog that I had left out.
I am 21 years old and I was born in India. I was seven when I moved to Atlanta, GA. I have been living in Atlanta for the past 14 years. I live with my parents and my brother who is 13 years old and also with my little cute dog named Cocoa. My father is self-employed and a entrepreneur. My mother is a housewife. My brother is starting high school next year. My dog is three year old and a Yorkie breed.
The reason I do not feel that this class would be that difficult is because Dr. Glance has required one major writing assignment rather than several. On the other hand, this one major writing assignment is 30% of the grade which is still a lot. At the same time, the weight of the point system is distributed evenly. Therefore, I should be fine. This is also my first online class and my first experience just as Dr. Glance's.
This class is not only a english class is also a history class covering many time periods and I like history. Even though I do not like english I like history. As a result, I am expecting this class to be more interesting than a typical english class would be. On this note I would like to end with saying that I would be looking forward in being with Dr. Glance's class with all my other classmates online and thank you Dr. Glance for welcoming me into the class.

Introduction (first entry)

My name is Khatija Dholakia but I also go by Jasmine. Which ever is fine with me. I am a traditional Mercer student just trying to graduate early and therefore taking summer classes. I am a Junior and my major is Business: Financial Management. Honestly, I have no affection towards english at all because all through out high school I barely passed my english classes no matter how hard I would work. English is a second language for me and I struggled in grammar when I was in high school and still do but that is no excuse for not being good in grammar which I know. I take this class online because my expectation is that it would be easier for me to concentrate and get over the subject I hate the most quickly. The biggest anxiety I have towards this is that I have never in my life wrote a blog. This is my first blog entry and I have no clue if I am successful at doing this or not.
